If you own your own tank all that is required is that we have our gas technician inspect your gas system to make sure it is safe and up to code. If you require a rental tank we will simply switch out your existing tank for one of ours.
NOTE: Your propane supply will be interrupted for a short time only.
We will pump any remaining propane from your existing tank into ours, so there is no need to wait until your tank is empty.
Waterloo County Propane staff will work with you to determine the appropriate tank size for your situation. Usually a site visit by one of our representatives is required to assess tank and equipment requirements.
The gas line must be a minimum of 18 inches below final grade.
The tank needs to be at least 10 feet from your house, your property line, and any source of ignition. It also needs to be no more than 100 feet from where our delivery truck will park, and it must be in a direct line of sight from the truck.
Please call us and we’ll help you determine the best location for your tank.
In most cases, yes. Please call us and we’ll have a service technician look at your appliances and make that determination.
Waterloo County Propane is a local, family-owned business specializing in propane gas. We take pride in our status as a local company which is small enough to know each customer by name, and yet large enough to handle any size account and able to compete with any of the main propane gas companies. For more than 40 years, we have been providing impeccable propane service to customers throughout Southwestern Ontario.
I have been meaning to contact you to say how impressed I was with the prompt service installing my hot water tank. Two days after I called I received my new tank. I was able to set a specific time and day, thank you. The installers were on time, courteous and professional. They took care in keeping the house free of snow and dirt. All in all thank you for the fabulous service and I do not hesitate to recommend your company whenever the opportunity arises.
Thank you so very much and have a wonderful day.
